Senior Producer (remote work)

Tequila Works is looking to cover a vital position to oversee the pipeline, scheduling, asset managing, building processes and QA of the whole game as Senior Producer. He or she will work closely with the Creative Director and General Manager in scheduling, identifying process risks, problem solving as well as communicating with both, internal teams and publishing partners. The Producer will serve as a main hub of information between teams and departments. Preparing and providing accurate and updated reports to ensure a tight delivery and an accurate overall production schedule is also a key function for the role.

We are based in Madrid, but currently working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to handle medium to high size team projects on current generation platforms including remote teams.
  • Create roadmap of a project with the team leads and track it continuously.
  • Identify risks and plan for mitigation in order to reduce impact on the content, schedule and quality.
  • Provide pertinent information to the team such as milestone schedules, deliverables, reference materials, documentation, etc.
  • Monitor the team´s daily progress with regular check- ins and meetings to ensure work is on schedule.
  • Maintain a good standard of team motivation and create a great work environment.
  • Help and mentor team leads to empower them.
  • Be able to handle outsourcing efficiently.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role including one shipped game from production to launch.
  • Industry related education or equivalent experience.
  • High level of English, both written and spoken.
  • Experienced with agile development (e.g SCRUM) and tracking tools (e.g JIRA).
  • Ability to manage people in an empathetic way to get the best version of everyone.
  • Provide guidance to the whole team with a leadership attitude.
  • Multi-task various priorities and deadlines in a fast, paced, high pressure environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentations skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

Gameplay Programmer (remote work)

Tequila Works is looking for a Gameplay Programmer with passion for gaming and curiosity about cutting edge technology to join the team. The successful candidate will be involved helping achieve the challenge of quality in our current games. He or she will be expected to play a critical role delivering high quality innovative games, with solid software architecture.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidiscipline environment implementing gameplay features that meet projects’ design requirements as part of a seasoned code team.

We are based in Madrid, but currently working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear and structured code inputs (C++), ensuring the quality, effectiveness and appropriateness of all the game code.
  • Develop implementation plans and software according to functional requirements & feature specifications on multiple platforms.
  • Debug and profile code on different game “builds”.
  • Liaise with project leadership to align expectations and workflow on a regular basis.
  • Work effectively with other departments such as Design, Art, Animation and QA to ensure successful product execution.
  • Multitask between projects and teams fluidly.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience working in C++ environments with Unreal Engine.
  • Atleast one shipped PC or Console title.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • Strong C++ skills.
  • Excellent debugging skills.
  • Understanding of the code performance and memory-usage implications
  • Ability to multitask and flexibly move between projects and teams, providing high quality work with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, creative thinking, and attention to details.
  • Experience in console porting is a plus.
  • Knowledge in domains such as Networking, Tools, Streaming, Animation, Rendering, etc. will also be appreciated.

3D CHARACTER ARTIST (REMOTE WORK)

Tequila Works is looking for a highly creative and talented 3D Character Artist to join the team. The successful candidate will be involved delivering Tequila Works’ artistic vision in our games. He or she will join a passionate team of seasoned videogame professionals.

We are based in Madrid, but currently working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Model and texture eye-catching 3D characters according to the game style.
  • Create additional character assets such as accessories, weapons, etc.
  • Work through the visual style, design, and overall look of the game.
  • Make a significant and direct contribution to the creation of 3D art assets.
  • Maintain quality, efficiency, and consistency across your work.
  • Evangelize, present, and communicate art status of owned projects to the larger Tequila Works organization and the Management Team.
  • Collaborate with designers and animators to develop run-time game 3D Data procedures & pipelines.

Requirements / Skills

  • Art-related degree.
  • 3+ years’ experience creating stylized character art for video games.
  • Demonstrated experience working with modern art pipelines.
  • A good sense of anatomy, proportions, stylization, and color.
  • Exceptional visual and technical understanding in sculpting, 3D modeling & texturing (both high- & low-resolution game assets).
  • Proficient with 3DSMax, Maya or Blender
  • Skilled with Zbrush and Substance Painter
  • Have a flexible, innovative, and open-minded approach to problem solving.
  • Self-critical spirit and excellent communication and team-work skills.

Monetization Designer (remote work)

The Monetization Designer plays a critical role creating systems based on the comprehension of how the game works as a service and how customers behave in order to generate monetization opportunities that improve the game’s financial performance.

The right candidate should have previous experience in game monetization. He or she will become a key member of the development team and will work closely with different departments to ensure the best game experience for players.

Having good communication skills, including presentations and being able to explain ideas clearly and thoroughly will be necessary for the role. It will also be important to keep an eye on the game industry trends or the main interests of the gamer community and design assets that are considered valuable for the players.

We are based in Madrid but currently working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a holistic monetization strategy to improve retention, increasing in-game revenue and lifetime value, while enhancing the player experience.
  • Liaise with Art and Production teams to develop a strategic and opportunistic plan for the creation of in-game items and bring regular updates to the in-game store.
  • Collaborate across the broader development team to maintain the game economy for the life of the game.
  • Provide support and objective feedback for the team.
  • Take a primary role in raising the overall knowledge level in the design team for monetization best practices.
  • Be the main conduit for key performance indicators (KPIs) related to acquisition, retention and monetization, analyze KPI reports and share information with production teams to identify and predict trends.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • At least 4 years of experience in game monetization or working on economy systems for games as a service.
  • Strong passion for gaming and thorough understanding of game design (mechanics & systems).
  • In-depth knowledge in online games.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment to develop features iteratively under deadlines and time constraints.

  • Knowledge of at least one industry-standard analytics tool (Leanplum, DeltaDNA, Unity Analytics, etc.)
